Dutch Digital Dynamics Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") runs Crohamhurst at crohamhurst.app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, what we do with it, and how we protect it. We operate under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using Crohamhurst you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

1.1 Account information

When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We don't collect your name at registration unless you choose to provide it in a contact form.

1.2 Payment information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd). We never see or store your card number, CVV, or bank details. The only things we get from Stripe are:

  • Your Stripe Customer ID (a reference token, not personally identifying)
  • Your Stripe Subscription ID
  • Your subscription tier (free, hobbyist, or pro)

Stripe handles the rest under their own privacy policy: stripe.com/au/privacy.

1.3 Usage data

We log the following for each computation request to enforce daily allowances and detect abuse:

  • Your account ID (not your email)
  • Which module you used (ephemeris, bradley, gann, cycles, analogs)
  • How many compute units the request consumed
  • Timestamp of the request

We do not log the specific prices or dates you submitted for analysis.

1.4 CSV upload data

When you upload a CSV file, the price data is processed in memory for your computation and is not stored on our servers after the response is returned. We don't keep, analyse, or share your uploaded market data.

1.5 Contact form data

If you contact us through the website form or by email, we keep your name, email address, and message for the purpose of responding and for our records. We hold this data for up to 3 years.

1.6 Server logs

Our web server logs standard request data including IP addresses, browser type, and request paths. These logs are kept for up to 90 days and are used for security and debugging. We don't use IP addresses to identify you or build profiles.

2. How we use your information

  • To run the Crohamhurst platform and manage your account
  • To manage your subscription
  • To enforce daily compute allowances
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To respond to support and contact requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To meet our legal obligations under Australian law

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Who we share your information with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share it in these situations:

  • Stripe: Your email address and subscription details go to Stripe to process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Legal requirements: If Australian law, a court order, or a government authority requires us to disclose your information, we will.
  • Business transfer: If we sell or transfer the business, your information may go to the new owner under the same privacy protections.

4. How we protect your data

Your data is stored on servers in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure:

  • TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Bcrypt hashing for passwords (we cannot recover your password)
  • JWT tokens with expiry for authentication
  • Access controls limiting who can reach production systems

No electronic system is 100% secure. If a data breach occurs that may affect your personal information, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

5. Your rights under the Privacy Act 1988

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong, out of date, or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we have to keep certain records
  • Complain about how we've handled your personal information

To do any of these, contact us at privacy@crohamhurst.app. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not happy with our response, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

6. Cookies and tracking

Crohamhurst uses a single login token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. This is not a cookie and is not shared with any third party. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts.

7. Children

Crohamhurst is not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so accidentally, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

8. Links to other sites

We may link to Stripe's portal and other external websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies separately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we'll email you at the address on your account.
